There’s nothing more delightful than drinking tea, to me is like a hug in a mug!
Everyday since the last 8 years or so, having a cup of tea is the first thing I do in the morning and a few days a week, the last thing I do at night. I also love coffee, hot chocolate and other beverages, but tea is my true love.
Besides bringing a lot of health benefits to our daily life, it could be is also a very lovely experience. It´s been said that Anna, the Duchess of Bedford, originated the ¨ afternoon tea ¨ she always complained about having a sinking feeling during the late afternoon so she started drinking tea privately in her boudoir and later some friends were invited to join her.
Nowadays, in some places the ‘high tea’, ‘low’ or ‘afternoon’ tea is served daily around four o’clock, and it’s accompanied with cakes, scones, jams, dainty sandwiches (usually cream cheese, cucumber or salmon) and other pastries.
I love having my afternoon tea, it is a super yummy experience but I also believe that any time of the day is perfect for having a cup of tea, as the famous quote from Lewis Carroll, in Alice in Wonderland says: “It’s always tea-time.”
So, give yourself some love and enjoy a lovely cup of tea!
Confetti kisses. ♡
